The HPA Energy Lab has been named the first place winner in the commercial/institutional category of the 7th Annual Design & Build with the Forest Stewardship Council Awards. The award will be presented at Greenbuild International Conference & Expo in Toronto on October 5th. The award recognizies excellence in the use of FSC materials in both residential and commercial/institutional design and construction. more info

With state and town officials in attendance, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the 125,000-sf addition and renovation of Sutton Middle/High School. Designed by Flansburgh Architects, the renovation/addition project is expected to be completed in the summer of 2014. more info

Details of Flansburgh's renovation of the Moraine Farm for the Cape Ann Waldorf School's campus in Beverly Farms, MA are featured in the Spring/Summer 2011 edition of Renewal - A Journal for Waldorf Education. Originally designed by Frederick Law Olmstead, Flansburgh Architects added a new wing and provided other renovations to Moraine Farm to accommodate the school's full program offerings for Grades K-8. read more

The HPA Energy Lab has won the 2011 Walter Taylor Award from AASA/AIA/CEFPI and will be honored at the AASA National Conference in Denver in February. Flansburgh’s design of a new 180,000 sf elementary school for the International College in Beirut, Lebanon will be the first building in Lebanon to be LEED certified, with a Gold rating. Construction on the 675-student, grades 1-5 elementary school will be completed in 2012. more info
