Science Facility
This 28,000 square foot fieldhouse is part of a comprehensive expansion and renovation of an existing 210,000 square foot high school of 1,700 students. The facility houses a regulation-size indoor track and four full-size basketball courts. The new resources supplement the school's existing gymnasium and provide for year-round community use.
Special features include non-skid athletic flooring; CMU acoustical block for noise reduction; a mechanical roll-up curtain that partitions teaching areas from court areas; and spectator seating for 2,500. Expansive clerestory windows maximize natural lighting, minimize scale, and reduce overall energy costs.
Site development includes a new baseball field adjacent to the fieldhouse, and the revitalization of existing playfields and tennis courts.
