Boott Cotton Mills Museum | Lowell, MA

Historic Restoration

A key component of Lowell’s National Park, this industrial history museum involved the preservation, renovation, and adaptive reuse of an 1871 mill building and attached counting house. Portions of the mill were restored to the conditions that existed in the 19th Century to house exhibits about the history of cotton manufacturing. Functions such as the Museum Store and the Tsongas Educational Center required more contemporary adaptation.
