International College | Beirut, Lebanon
New Elementary School
The new 750-student elementary school located on the main campus of International College in Beirut, Lebanon replaces an existing elementary school located off campus. The 17,500 square meter facility includes a 5,500 square meter bus and parking garage and new central plant that will serve the entire campus. The scheme arranges three limestone-clad buildings, connected together at the lowest level, around outdoor courtyards, stairways, and rooftop playgrounds. This arrangement diminishes the project's size and knits it into the fabric of the surrounding campus.
