New Elementary School

The MacArthur Elementary School was part of a citywide revitalization of Waltham’s elementary and middle school buildings, to meet the educational needs of the community and enrollment projections through the year 2009. Phase 1 of the recommended plan included construction of two new K-5 elementary schools, and the renovation/expansion of an existing 1902 school building for reuse as a middle school. This multi-phase project provided all of the City's K-8 students with equal access to modern educational facilities.
